He's silent for a moment too long, and Elsa supposes it should be unnerving, but it's really just familiar, that beat of uncertainty. At least, that's what it is with her. She's never been antisocial because she disliked people; it was only fear that kept her away, and she's still a little lost around strangers outside of a professional context.
