As much as she loves living with her sister, there are times she really needs to be alone still, and her room isn't always the best place for that. Penning herself in isn't necessarily helpful; she just can't be around other people. Trying to do that at home, though, with Anna just down the hall, makes it worse sometimes. There's too much guilt it adds on, too many bad memories. It helps to have a place like this, isolated, both peaceful and wild.
